I’m a voracious reader, tinkerer, experimenter, body hacker, marketing strategist, and above all, deeply opinionated
On the subject of opinion, here’s one of my favorite quotes;
I never allow myself to have an opinion on anything that I don’t know the other side’s argument better than they do.
Charlie Munger
In my free time
I’ve followed a plant-based lifestyle since 2016. I am vegan, a teetotaler, and a big foodie. My biggest weakness is Chinese and Indian food.
I’m currently working on chronicling my experiences and journey to staying fit after fifty and will share my top vegan Indian recipes in a book.
I’ve been learning and practicing the principles of stoicism, and count Seneca, Epictetus, and Marcus Aurelius as mentors from another time and land.
How I Started On This Journey
By the time I turned 40, I was running a successful business and had already sold a company profitably.
Yet, I found myself on the precipice of anxiety, and that is when my therapist started asking me questions about my purpose in life.
I had no idea, up until that point.
Truth be told, I still don’t know if I can answer this question with 100% certainty.
But during one of our sessions, she introduced me to the seminal work of Viktor Frankl – Man’s Search for Meaning, and since then, I’ve been on a journey of self-discovery.
I now define my life in two parts. BF, and AF. Before Frankl, and After.
I am always on a quest to improve myself and learn more from those who are conducting groundbreaking research and experiments to fight aging.
I intend on living beyond 100, hopefully much, much beyond.
Until then, I have my work to keep me busy.
About My Work
I help small businesses, particularly DTC eCommerce brands grow their companies.
Having worked with over 30 DTC brands since 2017, and diverse marketing functions for 20+ years before that, I have gained valuable experience in building, launching, and optimizing end-to-end growth strategies for founder-led companies.
Whether it’s growing revenue, acquiring more customers, or improving MER by optimizing your marketing operations team, I can help you reach your goals.
I’m a self-taught marketing strategist, and I’ve used technology to overcome my right-brain handicap. I’m not a skilled creative person, and therefore, I overstimulate my left brain (logic) with data science and empirical evidence.
My First Experience with Data
When I worked in financial services marketing at Bank of America, I got my first taste of working with databases and using them to perform marketing functions and generate revenue.
That experience showed me the power of combining technology with marketing.
Since then, I’ve worked at the intersection of marketing, technology, and data, and helped my clients generate over a hundred million leads, sending over a billion marketing messages.
And that eventually led me to where I am today
What I Do Today
In addition to working one-on-one with a select group of clients, I work on the growth management for Silicon Biztech, a company I have worked with since 2000.
Currently, Silicon Biztech operates two distinct business lines;
